Charlotte’s Secrets: Demon’s Love by Maryam Malik- REWIEW FUN

Charlotte’s Secrets: Demon’s Love by Maryam Malik is a fresh new novel that grasps your attention with an interesting plot, intriguing characters and twists you never see coming. Maryam has a large future in front of her, and no doubt Charlotte’s Secrets will be BIG.

As the dark ages reign over England, Julian, an ordinary village boy is condemned for Charlotte’s mysterious murder, his wife and to his surprise—a princess of royal blood. Oblivious of the presence of a centuries old demon, Julian is imprisoned in Elijah’s inescapable dungeon where he waits for the injustice of a gruesome death. But when the young man is rescued at the hands of an unexpected guardian…he learns of his role as salvatoris liberet—the single truth that will alter his destiny forever. As alliances form, secrets unfold, and enemies reveal themselves, Julian must decide who to trust and how far he is willing to go for the only woman he’s ever loved.

First and foremost, I loved the writing in this book, having read and thoroughly enjoyed it, now I need more of her stories. She delivered the main character- Julian, which I love the name – as a hopeless romantic and that is a quite unique perspective to read on my opinion; and she made it work! The characters that were along for the journeys of helping Julian were the perfect mix. Gale, Owen, Cassandra an his best friend Watson created a team to be reckoned with. Cassandra is a complete badass, I loved it! With vivid back flashes and world building the world of Charlotte’s Secrets soon became a hit.

The romantic edge that Julian felt for Charlotte drove to the story further into the introduction of magic and the mystical.

“A murderer is a murderer when he kills,” he began, “and the eternal sleep only comes hunting when death has spoken your name.”

Gypsy’s man there are intense! And to add to the greatness, we never once doubted the love that Julian feels for Charlotte throughout the book and the suspense never relented. They did share some steamy scenes that were indeed a prove of their passion and love, its a blusher!

” I don’t know what to believe.” ” I don’t know how to trust. I’m as lost as ever…” “… and afraid. But if there is a chance I can hold Charlotte in my arms again, for that chance– I will do anything.”

AWWW. Julian you are too adorable. (and so is Watson and well so is Owe, the point is the men in the book are no draggers… 😉

The finale left much room and excitement for future books in the series.Have I mentioned the cover, how have I not! The cover is absolutely gorgeous and mysterious. I Love It

Now I’d like to share a thought that can be considered kind of random, but I’m going to express it anyway. The sense of style is incredible in this book. I was repeatedly astonished by some of the descriptions used and to be frank I don’t usually pay much attention to that. P.S loved he color scheme of black and a felt green cloak it sounds so beautiful. And not to mention younger Charlotte’s gown in Circa, Scotland, WOW.

Well guys, this is Jen and for today this will be all I hope you have a great night and I hope you enjoyed this so until next time GO FORTH AND BE AWESOME!

Days of Pinny: Day 3: Picture and Cuteness

Okay so this is my wizard being Pinny, Pinny has curly purple hair and an elaborate wand including a black cat. (Pinny also decided to stop rain mid- stream, he just felt tired of the rain, you know when you get tired of the rain and you decide to stop it, the usual)

IMG_6264.JPG So know to the potential cuteness, my friends young brother (5 years old) agrees to a three questioned interview about Pinny the Bowling Pin. So here it goes. Me: How did you like Pinny and the story? 5 year-old: I liked how Pinny got what he wanted in the end. I also! I also liked Pinny as an astronaut it was cool. Me: Did you get anything out of the story after it ended? 5 year-old: I wanted to be a bowling ball so I can knock Pinny over so he won’t get bullied, but I liked the astronaut but an alien would have been cooler, but I liked how he dreams and it happens. Me: Well, I’m glad you liked it. Do you want me to read it again? 5 year-old: YEAH! And then I can take it to school for show and tell and tell everyone about Pinny and how cool the astronaut was, I want to be an astronaut when I get taller! (It’s safe to say I laughed quite a bit during this interview) I also gave him a coloring page and he decided to make a bowling ball striking an alien Pinny on the moon. (Well that’s what he told me anyway 😂) Here is the coloring page (can be printed) if you’d like to make your own Pinny!

IMG_6272.JPG Well, this is all for today I’ll be back tomorrow with the final Day of Pinny with more insight on Pinny and the message. Until then I hope you liked this and I hope you have a wonderful night! Now GO FORTH AND BE AWESOME!

Days of Pinny: Day Two: The Review

Ah, well I’m going to get right into it. So, let’s get started shall we…

Pinny the Bowling Pin

pim  Author: Leah Ward

My rating providing that the book served it’s purpose is: FIVE STARS

First, I am going to talk a bit about the art. The art was completely relevant to the story line and to what it was trying to convey. It was also enjoyable and the children seemed to like the pictures. To the parents the pictures are adorable, and frankly I agree with them.

The content of the book was inspiring and well written. With that being said, as I have seen the book’s message has been successfully delivered. Reviewing a children’s book is quite difficult to do but I just want to get my point across that this book is perfect for any children. It can teach them while unknowingly forming ideas in the kids brain of their future. The book can get the children interested in professions and start forming thoughts of the future. Pinny is entertaining and short perfect of bed time stories or sharing in general. it can keep the attention of a child until the very end, it can also be a quick read for anyone. It will surely be a children’s book favorite. The story line is also interesting and diverse. It deals with bullying and overcoming adversity with your head still held high. The message is clearly shown and easy for most everyone to understand everything one must go through to succeed in life, but ultimately once you get through all the hard times something good is always waiting on the other side.

Here is an adorable sneak peak at the adorable art work:

Well, that will be all for today, don’t forget you can purchase this as an ebook or paperback at, I hope you enjoyed this and I hope you have a great night and I will see you tomorrow! Now GO FORTH AND BE AWESOME!

Days of Pinny: Day One: It’s Pinny (the Bowling Pin) Time

Yep, it’s that time of the year again. Warm places, steaming mugs, presents and family that is what Christmas is all about but that is not what I mean…

I’m talking about Pinny the Bowling Pin by Leah Ward and it is already released and ready to be read *party dances*

Pinny has now been released and is ready for purchase (links down below) and I want to help spread the word and share the amazing, inspiring story that it Pinny with as many people as possible!

Even the synopsis is super adorable!:

Bowling Pin’s have feelings, too, in this funny, uplifting and overcoming story of the pin who felt alone because he couldn’t seem to do what all the other pins did – fall.

Poor Pinny just wants to fit in. He is tired of being the last bowling pin standing, making it nearly impossible for kids to bowl a strike. Everyone dislikes the last pin, the lone pin, the one who won’t fall no matter how many others do. As if it isn’t bad enough that the kids don’t like him, even the other pin’s don’t! He is making them look bad after all. But maybe, Pinny wasn’t meant to fit in? Maybe he was meant for something greater! Perhaps a doctor, a rockstar, or even the President!

Kids will be imagining their own humorous occupations for Pinny, and sharing a laugh with the lovable character and the author who finally revealed the truth behind the bowling pins lives. This story a perfect gift for anti-bullying, for a reminder to kids to never give up, and for those who just want to know why it’s so difficult to bowl a strike!

Over the next days I will be posting fun and interactive posts about the world of Pinny and if you have a sibling or want to try it out yourself here is the coloring page of Pinny and it is up to you and your imagination to seek out what Pinny is going to be (a little sneak peak, in my drawing he is a wizard!)

But seriously, it is very difficult to tell you how wonderful and great children’s book Pinny is, you should head out and buy this book because it can show you what we so often forget. You can dream and aspire to anything you want to, follow your heart and realize your destiny whichever it may be.

And that will be all for today, (tomorrow will be Day Two) I hope you enjoyed this and have a wonderful night now GO FORTH AND BE AWESOME.

Infinite Limits the Blog Tour Day 6:  Mushy Gooshy Feely Stuff Day

First off I’m going to clear some confusion, yesterday my teachers decided to hand me a ton of homework (took me around 12:30am to finish!) so my Infinite Limits (non spoiler) Review will be out later today, after the Mockingjay Premiere (so excited!!!)

Okay today was dedicated to all the feels that Megan has provided us with her Small Circles Series, which if you have read it know it’s a lot of feels.

I feel extremely thankful of Megan for them even though most of them were just a bundle if feels, she opened my eyes to bigger issues that are happening in teen life’s all around me. Whether their stories are similar is not the point but the journey that they had to overcome was incredible.

I understand that talking about feels is extremely hard to do as there is so much that words can’t express but it does help to let some of the tension out.

There stories were all full of sorrow, happiness and surprises. All of them being greatly developed. I was trying so hard not to cry as I was reading Infinite Limits but I succumbed to the feels (we most all do, eventually) Well my central point is basically LET IT OUT ! Don’t conceal it and don’t feel (hehe Frozen is still stuck in my brain, thanks OUAT…) anyway it’s important to to let those feels out because one day you will feel like exploding and that is how I feel a lot of time. So yes, I’d you want to say anything in this matter leave comments below I always
Love to hear from you guys!

This is all for right now, I hope you enjoyed this and I hope you have a wonderful day and until my Infinite Limits Review later today have a wonderful day now GO FORTH AND BE AWESOME!

Infinite Limits the Blog Tour Day 4: Who is Jade Walbridge? And Many Pictures

Today we will give dive right in with starting with pictures of my (any many others) fan cast Jade Walbridge, which is Shay Mitchell and more pictures of the lovely Priya Pappu posing as Jade in an action photo-shoot.

shay 8shayshay 3shay 7shay10shay 5shay 2shay 4

Shay is super gorgeous and completely remeninds me of Jade when I happen to see any Pretty Little Liars  commercials.  The feels are starting to act up again, but wait THERE’S MORE! Please give a virtual round of applause to Priya Pappu!

pp3pppp2Wow, well now I’m left wanting for more and more, which comes to my next topic: who is Jade Walbridge. Ah, this is a hard one so lets start with the obvious and some facts.

Jade Walbridge is (older) sister to Carter Walbridge will you learn more about in the companion novel Three Sixty.

She and Paxton belong together for life. (OKAY, that one was a just a tiny bit bias *eternal whistling and crying* #JAXTON FOR LIFE BABY)

Obvious Facts over, technically I only stated one but you have to read the books I do not want to spoil this series IT’S just too good to do that, it would make me feel terrible. SO, let me tell you how I feel about Jade in general. I really enjoyed reading about Jade and her life, her way of perceiving life’s difficulty was incredible and the romance, well, I have pretty strong feelings about it. The ending that Jade was given in Infinite Limits absolutely killed me (happy or sad? well about one more month until 12/16 you can find out then! MUHAHA) The ending to Infinite Limits was amazing in itself as everything came together like a puzzle, but more on that tomorrow.

I am going to cut this a bit short so I can have some time to go out and take some shots of Infinite Limits for tomorrow’s review. Jade Walbridge, what can I say. I thoroughly loved her and her story along with all the pain and feels it caused me.

This is all for today, I hope you have a wonderful night and hope you enjoyed my rambling! Until tomorrow happy reading now GO FORTH AND BE AWESOME!

Infinite Limits the Blog Tour Day 3: Non Spoiler Small Circles Review

Errr, Day 3 already! Today consists of Small Circles the first installment in the series (and yes my review of Infinite Limits is on Thursday, and if you want t know what days I’ll be doing something check back to the very first Blog Tour post, the run down is all on there)

Small Circles:

small cAuthor: Megan Duke

Small Circles is the story of four friends over four years of their young adult lives in Tennessee. Starting in their sophomore year at a boarding school and continuing through their freshman years at different universities, the friends face the same trials most teenagers face today, as well as a few other things. This inspiring story touches base with the struggles of defining oneself in spite of homosexuality, drug addiction, suicide, and heartbreak. Most of all it sends one message: it’s okay to be happy.

If I could say one thing about this book and one thing only it would be, real. Real because of the characters and situations. Small Circles is a coming of age story that takes you into the lives of troubled teenagers trying through the rough parts of life and I loved it. I loved the presentation that Megan provided into each individual character, their interactions were smooth and believable. This is one of the rare books that have you emotionally invested in the characters on just one book. Small Circles posed many a questions to me that are simply ingenious and it made me feel where the story was headed but in the end being a complete twist. It is engaging and fast-paced.

I simply cannot list my favorites quotes because there are far too many. The emotion behind tis story is evident and that only makes it stronger. Some characters you can’t help but love even if they are part time jerks *cough you know who I’m taking about cough* while others are irresistible to love. My favorite aspect of the Small Circles Series has been the way the characters act based on their though process, its completely fascinating.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is willing to carry this series everywhere they go (because you will want t do that after finishing it, trust me you will)  but in a serious note to anyone who likes John Green and reading about difficult topics that is the way of life.

I am going to share two quotes only because I’m a sucker for good quotes:

It’s sad that bad things have to happen in order for us to stop and look around.

Paxton choked on the tears that were gushing uncontrollably down his face. “This feels…a lot like falling,” he let out through his gasps for air.
Jade pulled Paxton’s trembling frame against hers. His hoodie was warm from his body heat and it smelt like cigarette smoke and deodorant. “No,” she corrected him. “This is just… slipping gracefully.

Man, beware of the feels… that quotes with Paxton and Jade is just a snippet of the uncontrollable feels that precede Small Circles. Anyways, *happy thoughts, happy thoughts * all better now? Yeah, I didn’t think so. BUT just as an fyi Infinite Limits is a ball of feels… you have that to look forward too!

This is all for today, I hope you have a wonderful night and hope you enjoyed this! Until tomorrow  happy reading and now GO FORTH AND BE AWESOME!

Infinite Limits the Blog Tour Day 2: Getting to the Author an Interview

Whew, Day Two is upon us and with that accompanies an exciting event an all exclusive interview with our very own Megan Duke! I thought I should add the interview before any reviews or book talks so you guys could have some inside knowledge of the author. And to be frank or better, candor (hehe), she is pretty darn awesome.

megan duke ddddddddddddddddddddd dukes megannn

Yes, lets dive right in! Woohoo!

1) What are all the books you have written?

When I was in high school, I wrote the first two books in The Mind Breaker Accounts trilogy. This is the series I’ll be re-releasing in 2015. But my most notable works are the Small Circles books (Small Circles, Three Sixty, Ninety Degrees, and Infinite Limits).

2) What genre are your books?

The Small Circles books are all contemporary/coming of age Young Adult. The Mind Breaker books will be sci-fi/fantasy and in the New Adult category.

3) What draws you to this genre?

I love writing coming of age stories. That’s where my heart truly thrives. I have a strong passion for writing true stories about young people. It’s such a complicated and amazing time in everyone’s life.

4) What are your ambitions for your writing career?

Being an independent author, I would love to actually make it onto the shelves of a major book seller like Barnes and Noble. And to make it onto any bestseller list would be a dream come true. I want to share my stories with as many people as possible.

5) When did you decide to become a writer?

I’ve one of those people that’s written frivolously since I was very young. However, I didn’t take it seriously until my junior year of high school. That’s when I focused on starting my first novel. It took me three years to finish it, and after I decided to leave school, I jumped into the publishing world for the first time.

6) What made you decide to sit down and actually start Small Circles?

Small Circles is a story that I felt needed to be told. Writing it was one of the easiest things I’ve ever done. I felt like the words were writing themselves. But when it comes down to the first idea, Larson Ashby’s character was what really shaped the story.

6) Which writers inspire you?

John Green is my biggest inspiration. I highly admire the way he puts himself out there to really make a difference in people’s lives. I don’t ever want to be one of those authors that sits behind their desk and never goes out in public. I want to actually see the people I’m affecting. And he does that in so many different creative ways.

7) Do you read much and if so who are your favourite authors?

I’m a MASSIVE reader. My favorites authors include John Green, Morgan Matson, Lauren Oliver, and Jandy Nelson.

8) What book/s are you reading at present and what is your favorite genre?

Currently, I am reading Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Steifvater.

I’m a huge contemporary fan, mostly because I like to educate myself in the same genre I write. But when it comes to fantasy, I have a thing for angels and demons. Some of my favorite series are The Mortal Instruments, Hush, Hush, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, and Angelfall.

9) What is your favorite writing motivational quote?

This isn’t specific to writing, but there’s a quote that I found recently that say, “Whatever makes you happy, do it more.” Writing is what truly makes me happy, so I remind myself of that every day.

10) What advice would you give to aspiring writers?

Stick with it. It’s a long road, but if you really love something, nothing should get in your way. I have been struggling with balancing my day job and having the time to focus on my books. It’s very frustrating when you find yourself not at the place you want to be in life, but you have to keep reminding yourself that in the end all the hard work will be worth it.

11) What was the hardest thing about writing Infinite Limits?

Concluding all of the characters’ stories what hard. I wanted to make sure the right amount of light was shown on each of them. In the end, I’m happy with the result. I hope everyone else is too.

12) From the beginning did you know how your series was going to end?

I didn’t. Small Circles was supposed to be a stand alone novel. But when I was finished, something told me that Audrina’s story wasn’t finished. There was so much to her character that no one knew but me, and I didn’t think that was fair. This led to creating Silas, because I knew people would want to know how Larson ended up after Owen. Then came Silas’ back story. And thus a series was born.

13) Do you see yourself writing more books?

I will continue to write for the rest of my life. There is nothing else I’d rather do. There are notebooks in my room full of ideas for future projects. I don’t think I’ll ever not be inspired.

Is there anything else you would like to add that I haven’t included?

Hmmm, I don’t think so. There is a common question concerning the Small Circles books and their reading order. I posted about it yesterday. People are often confused because Three Sixty is a companion and Ninety Degrees is a precursor. But I always tell people the books are best read in publication order. Small Circles, Three Sixty, Ninety Degrees, and Infinite Limits

14) How can readers discover more about you and you work?

All of my books can be purchased most online distributors (B&, Amazon, Book Depository, and all ebook platforms).

Cover Revel: The Designer Chronicles by Elle Davis Takes on a New Look

To one good thing to another. I am extremely pleased to be sharing with you all the new covers that will be following The Designer Chronicles from now on! Lets get started shall we, but first let me tell you the format in which I will be presenting them, I will have the both covers and analyze them together then post a small summary of the book.

Before -to- After

Ta-Da! Aren’t they just beautiful! (Designed for Perfection is the first installment.)

BEFORE: I really love the old edition cover because the characters that are pictured on the cover look identical to what I pictured them to look like, the DNA/amino acids and calculations in the background clearly give you an idea about the book and I also like the way the book has a full cover, meaning I have to take a moment to take the cover in and that’s wonderful.

AFTER: The feeling the book gave in the pervious cover has nothing compared to this one. It is thrilling, suspenseful and overall mysterious, all the right ingredients to entice a readers attention. When I heard about the concept of the book I did not hesitate to buy it and start reading it, genetically engineered humans – I’m in! (Really, am I right or am I right.) The new cover has the simple edge to it that leaves you no choice but to find out more about it.

Messing with Mother Nature can have unexpected consequences… Having a genius level IQ, model good looks, and supernatural physical traits almost guarantees seventeen-year-old Ronan Callahan a life of success. He’s a genetically engineered human, custom designed by scientists and his wealthy parents. But being designed for perfection doesn’t guarantee happiness for Ronan. In fact, his superior abilities have left him bored and unchallenged– until he meets Cat. Cat McCullough is orphaned and left to raise her little sister, Claire, on her own. The last thing she’s looking for is romance. In a high school full of girls swooning over Ronan Callahan, she’s the only one to see him for who he really is: arrogant and cold; and she’s not afraid to call him out on it. Yet still, Cat is the only girl to ever capture Ronan’s attention for more than a minute. When Ronan falls for Cat, he falls hard. However, falling in love isn’t the only thing he has to worry about. A deadly virus is spreading among the Designers, forcing them to abandon their somewhat normal lives and unite in search of answers… but they might not like what they discover.

The real question here is how can that summary not intrigue you… Did you feel that?  I feel chills every time I read it. *shivers*

BEFORE: I love the DNA acting like a border between Cat and Ronan captures the books plot perfectly. AND Ronan looks pretty incredible in a suit. [nice bowtie by the way it’s a good cover and again fills the cover, which I very much like.

AFTER: First, let me mention the tagline

Messing with mother nature can have unexpected consequences…

It’s in both the new covers under Elle Davis name and that is a brilliant move from the creators of the new covers. I like the pop of color that the rose and its’ pedals gives. It seems to capture the readers attention to give it a double take, which (I say so myself) is key. The cover style covers the trilling, smart and romantic aspect that is The Designer Chronicles.

Ronan Callahan isn’t your average teenager. He was genetically engineered before birth, resulting in designer looks, enhanced intellect, and supernatural abilities. Although things haven’t ever been normal for Ronan, for the first time in his life, he feels a sense of purpose. What better way to put his “special skills” to work than to go on dangerous undercover missions for the U.S. government? Everything seems perfect, including his relationship with Cat.
Unfortunately, perfect can’t last forever. Tragedy strikes the Designers, leaving them struggling to pick up the pieces. Can they push past the darkness in order to save the lives of those they thought were dead and buried?

The Designer Chronicles book I and ll now available on amazon.

And that is all I have for you today but stay tuned for the release of October YA releases coming soon. Until then I hope you have a wonderful night and Happy Reading now GO FORTH AND BE AWESOME!

Do not forget to comment below if you like the change and which do you prefer the best, as well as if you plan to pick up the book any time soon.

Non Spoiler Review: Designed to Love by Elle Davis

Designed to Love (The Designer Chronicles #2)

Author: Elle Davis

Pages: 341

Rating: 4.5/5

Messing with Mother Nature can have unexpected consequences…

Ronan Callahan isn’t your average teenager. He was genetically engineered before birth resulting in designer looks, enhanced intellect, supernatural abilities, and an uncanny ability to know exactly what and how to get what he wants. When he asks Cat to marry him, he is confident that they are destined to be together forever and rejects all counsel insinuating otherwise. For the first time in his life he feels a sense of purpose and after his parent’s death, he teams up with other genetically engineered young Designers to work on dangerous undercover missions for the U.S government; a lifestyle much more befitting of his designer character.

When a deadly flying accident turns his life upside down, Ronan finds himself struggling to accept the prospect of a life without Cat, while honoring promises to protect, and take care of her “gifted” six year old sister, Claire. A string of seemingly unconnected personal tragedies all collide in the second of ‘The Designer Chronicles’ and the family of Designers are driven to daring acts, as they work around the clock to save the lives of those they thought were dead and buried.

When Ronan asks Cat to marry him, it seems like a dream come true for her. Finally she and her little sister Claire can get some much needed stability in their lives, right? Wrong. Way wrong. After a deadly flying accident, Ronan must face the prospect of a future without his fiancée. How on Earth will he and the other Designers be able to move on? Sure he’s a Designer blessed with incredibly good looks and supernatural abilities. But when you love someone from the core of your being, it’s not always that simple to let them go. While the other Designers are busy undergoing dangerous missions for the U.S. Government, personal tragedies begin to spring up left and right. What’s going on? Is there a link between the Designers and these tragedies or is it all one big eerie coincidence?
If you thought Designed for Perfection was good, Designed to Love will be even better. Designed to Love takes Cat and Ronan’s relationship deeper, but that does not mean a happily ever after. Tragedies are seemly centered around the Designers and Ronan is no exception.

Designed for Love was full of just the right amount of drama, mystery and love; it’s everything you could possibly want in a work of fiction.

Quote of the Book:

It’s always so hard just to choose one! But I am going with this particular quote because it did not only make me laugh but also feel more love for Ronan than seemingly possible.

” If someone would have told me six months ago, I would soon meet the most beautiful woman I have ever laid eyes on, I might have believed them. And if they told me she was: fearless, intelligent, caring, talented and funny, I might have expressed interest in meeting her. But, if they went on to say I would fall so deeply in love with her that it would hurt to be apart from her, I would have laughed them out of the room…”

Ronan cannot be more perfect. He is definitely swoon worthy and just so sweet!

I like the plot line it is pretty fast moving but at the same time makes sure all the important details are described properly. The story is a young adult fantasy, it’s not that far from the realms of what we may see in the very near future with human engineering. Elle Davis incorporated some realistic psychological struggles and emotions that one would expect to be associated with growing up a “Designer Baby.” The characters were well developed and they definitely grow in maturity but not too drastically. Considering the harsh conditions that the Designers’ have to go through, Cat and Ronan’s relationship/ chemistry does not falter. I loved Designed to Love slightly more than Designed for Perfection and that is a good thing. I was surprised to find my like of the series grow and now I’m waiting for the third installment. The book did have some typos but they are easy fixes, overall, story was not effected by them.

Reviewing a second book in a series is very difficult because I do not want to spoil the first book, but I will say this Elle Davis created a new dystopia that will surely leave you wanting more. Whether wanting to know what happens to the characters or the world development and you will not be disappointed.

Soon with my new logo I’ll be able to make business cards and some book marks I’ll be giving away (included in all giveaways) and in book conventions such as BEA (Book Expo America) and BookCon! I will hopefully be attending BEA and BookCon in 2016 (will be held in Chicago) or 2017 [undetermined area] ( I dream big guys!) it’s still a couple years away but still planning is good. Also I’m thinking about Comic- Con… Ekkkk! Now to do some major fundraising it is! Well Anyway hopefully good things for this blog will be coming to you soon! I will also be needing some assistance from some of you! More info about that when the cards/bookmarks have been printed.

Tortuous Shadows by Jennifer Parr (NON SPOILER) Review

Tortuous Shadows by Jennifer Parr is the first installment of the Avalon Valley Trilogy.

Mysteries wrote her past. Judgment blights her future. For her, an outcast? But when present troubles bring Aria Morgan’s end hauntingly near, she is surprised at how love can be birthed in even the darkest of places. Suddenly, the future is bright… until Aria is faced with a decision that will cost her everything she thought she’d never have.

Tortuous Shadows blew my expectations. Even though I had only a few from the beginning. They say do not judge a book by it’s cover, and rightly so. And I’m not at all insinuating that I do not like the cover, but I have never read a book that features horses as a main “feature” (and I say feature very loosely) and thus was a little worried I was not going to enjoy it. I was wrong. so very wrong. This book was amazing, full of mystery, romance, and action as well as a new form of dystopia that are blended perfectly together. the characters were well developed and the plot held strong throughout the entire book. I stopped turning the pages only until the book had finished. I was pulled in almost immediately and I am hoping to get my hands on Better Shade (book two) as soon as possible! I cannot wait to know what lies ahead of Aria and Liam’s story. And Liam, completely swoon worthy! Overall , a great debut novel and I hope to see more of Jennifer Parr in the future!

Tortuous Shadows is now available online at Barns and Noble and Amazon, support the author by doing the most helpful and enjoyable thing possible, read her book!

‘The Fault in our Stars’ Film (NON SPOILER) Review

Two years ago, I was just a distraught and heart broken girl, thanks to The Fault in Our Stars by the brilliant John Green, but instantly fell in love. After the announcement in Vlogbrothers, I had immediately gotten TFioS, having read this many other books (linked below), I knew this was a book I would not want to miss. Now there I was, two years later, sitting in a theater, impatiently waiting for TFioS to begin on June 5th…

The Night Before Our Stars, one of the best experiences I have been through. From the beginning I was laughing and crying, trying my best not to blink. This film was witty, flamboyant and overall magnificent. The beauty of the story incorporated in the screen was everything I expected, the casting was perfect and the crew did an amazing job. Every bit I had wished to see, was there. Josh Boone (the director) did a brilliant job, building this film. If there was such a thing as too beautiful TFioS would be the perfect example. Shailene and Ansel’s chemistry was uncanny, and so well done, I could not help but put on a wide grin and begin to tear up. It was in an incredibly bitter-sweet moment by the end of the movie, it was worth every penny, every laugh and every tear. The live simulcast was just the best thing ever, the performance by Nat and Alex had me singing and made me feel a strong longing to cry and I did, it definitely brought in the feels I was already feeling. Birdy was incredible as well, everything was oh so very perfect. I started to cry from the beginning (thank the gods I’m a mild crier in the sense of loudness) and did not stop even though I tried very hard too. I could not have asked for anything better. I cried for so long after the movie is tried to be as calm as possible but it was just not possible. It was fantastic and just the feels I cannot describe how I felt words word be too insignificant. Thank you to all the people who made The Fault in our Stars movie happen. Thank You. No doubt about it, there might be a fault in the stars but not in this movie.

They definitely bottled the stars for this movie. And I drank every bit of it.

(PS. This movie in awesome and incredible on every way imaginable, it’s impossible to summarize my feelings in that moment but just know, I have nothing but good things for TFioS.

(PPS. John Green’s cameo was fantastic 😂 )

Some of John Green’s other books:
Paper Towns

Looking For Alaska

An Abundance of Katherines

Ziombiecorns- coming soon to amazon 😂 (I’m telling you John is awesome)

Also by John Green and David Levithan :

And Maureen Johnson, Lauren Myracle and John Green:

Go watch The Fault in our Stars, in your local theater as soon as it is released! You won’t want to miss it.
